Unfair trading practices
Unfair trading practices are contractual clauses and practices that are considered unfair and thus unacceptable in business relationships between large buyers of agricultural, fishery and food products and suppliers smaller in terms of turnover. A catalogue of the relevant prohibited trading practices is included in the Agricultural Organisations and Supply Chains Act (Agrarorganisationen-und-Lieferketten-Gesetz, AgrarOLkG).
As the competent enforcement authority, the BLE ensures that these prohibitions are complied with. On the following pages, you can find out more about the prohibitions on unfair trading practices and our work as the competent enforcement authority. In addition, you will be provided with various ways and options to contact us.
