Placement of JPOs to the FAO

On behalf of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Regional Identity (BMLEH), the BLE carries out tasks specific tasks regarding the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). This includes the programme for junior professionals (known as Junior Professional Officer - JPO) at the FAO.

It is the aim of the Federal Republic of Germany to provide an adequate number of representatives in international organisations. With this objective, and on behalf of the Federal Government, the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) carries out the JPO Program.

The programme contributes towards multilateral development cooperation and provides the opportunity to gain international work experience under current conditions at international organisations

For the FAO, tasks like organisation, communication and accompanying support to the programme are accomplished by BLE in collaboration with the office for Junior Professionals at International Organisations (BFIO / ZAV) of the Federal Employment Agency.

You have the opportunity to register your e-mail address and you will receive a mail when vacancy notices are published.

For more information, please contact the division "International Cooperation and the Global Food Security " (334) at the BLE.
