36th International Meeting on Quality Control for Fruits and Vegetables (IAT-2027)
The 36th International Meeting on Quality Control for Fruits and Vegetables (IAT-2027) will take place from March 16 to 18, 2027, as an in-person event at the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs in Bonn.
We expect to begin registration on March 16, 2027, at 9:00 a.m. and conclude around noon on March 18, 2027.
We are currently preparing the following key topics:
- Food loss and waste
- Packaging in the fruit and vegetable sector, including the new EU Packaging Regulation (PPWR)
- Quality control, including questions for the BLE
- New pests in horticulture
The focus will be on the following types of produce:
- Cultivated mushrooms
- Citrus fruits (grapefruits and pomelos)
- Kiwis
- Pears
