International Meeting on Quality Control of Fruit and Vegetables
The BLE organizes every second year the International Meeting on Quality Control of Fruit and Vegetables. The Meeting is directed towards inspectors of governmental authorities as well as of the interested persons from industry from Germany and the delivering countries.
The 31st International Meeting Quality Control of Fruit and Vegetables took place from 13 to 15 March 2017 at the Gustav-Stresemann-Institute e.V. (GSI) in Bonn, Germany. 200 participants from 21 countries did take part. Here, the publication of the proceedings with the topics varieties/club varieties/trademarks, apples, garlic, onions, leeks and traceability will start by April.
The Working Group on Quality Control of Fruit, Vegetables and Ware Potatoes is an association of the inspection services of the Federal government and the Laender. It was founded in 1967 and established in the Association of Agricultural Chambers. This working group initiated the International Meeting Quality Control Fruit and Vegetables. Today, the contents and organization of the meeting is ministered by the Federal Office for Agriculture and Food.
